Safety and High Quality Training, Always our Priority

Multiple Levels of Training

A comprehensive curriculum is available to ensure that all areas of electrification training within a business are catered for from the most senior member to a visitor.

Courses are based around industry standard recognised levels of competency, and taught by industry experts with hands on knowledge in this sector.

  • Unit 1 - Hazardous Voltage (HaV) Awareness (4hrs)

Introduction level for all individuals whoose day to day activities require them to have an awareness of Electric Vehicles (EV), and provides an overview of the different types of EV's, and the correct etiquette for having them in the business.

  • Unit 2 - Hazardous Voltage (HaV) Informed Person (1 Day)

The content of this has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out routine maintenance and repair activities (not voltage components or systems). This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.

It contains information in the following areas:

    1. electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
    2. hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
    3. how to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
    4. safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)
  • Unit 3 -Hazardous Voltage (HaV) Senior Authorised Person (SAP) (2 Days)

The content of this has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities. This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.

It contains information in the following areas:

    1. working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle
    2. using information to carry out the task
    3. carrying out repairs on high energy electrical systems
    4. recording information and making suitable recommendations.

This also can be bespoked to include the compamies own Safety Management System (SMS) or specific products.

  • Unit 4 - Person In Charge (PIC) (2 Days)

This contains the knowledge of the dangers surrounding repairs carried out to live high voltage vehicle electrical components and systems.

The purpose and aim of this qualification is to provide technicians working on electric/ hybrid vehicles with the required level of skills and knowledge to carry out repairs on live high voltage vehicle electrical components and systems safely.

Live working should be a last resort however in some applications it is needed to be able to measure system parameters during operation.

  • Unit 5 - Management & Supervision of Hazardous Voltage (HaV) Activities

This has been designed to allow team leaders, supervisors, managers, and senior leadership the opportunity to understand the obligations placed on them by the HaV activities being carried out in the business.

Services

Safety Training

This is our ultimate priority, and we pride ourselves in educating individuals so companies have a safe and respectful culture when working with Hazardous Voltage (HaV), this is turn makes them very efficient and reduces lost time due to injury.

EV Consultation

If you are starting to take electrification products from design into development stages and physical Hazardous Voltage components, this can sometimes seem a bit daunting when it comes to complying with legislative requirements but it is something that we can help with.
